Subsea Cable Arrives in Togo

Monday 11th April 2022

A subsea cable system has arrived at its first location along the African coast in Lomé, Togo. The cable will run from Portugal along the West Coast of Africa and will connect Europe to Togo, Nigeria, Namibia, South Africa, and St. Helena.

The Cable Ship ILE DE BREHAT owned by Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN)  called at Lomé port to perform the cable laying operation and OMA Togo was delighted to be appointed as port agent by AMT to arrange the navigation permit, assist the vessel with crew changes, and coordinate with all actors involved to pull the cable from shore to sea.
